Note from Director..
Welcome
to the first issue of 2002 ATPAC(Canada) News, the newsletter of ATPAC’s Canada
Region. We hope that this communication will help us inform the Canadian
members of recent developments in ATPAC and Thailand. Our Association has been
working closely with organizations in Thailand for over a decade, mainly in the
forms of collaborative research, training, technology transfer, teaching at the
higher education level and bringing resources from North America to Thailand. The
collaboration of ATPAC with Thailand, which was mainly in science and
technology in the early 1990s, has recently expanded to cover other areas, such
as agriculture, education, health sciences, humanities and social sciences. We
plan to recruit professionals in other disciplines, including law, management
(business and trade) and pre-university education, to address the needs from
Thailand. We would like to congratulate and welcome you as part of this
important network.
Your opinions are important to us. Please feel free to send your concerns, news or articles for publication in this Newsletter to me at jitra@ualberta.ca
Thank you for your support for ATPAC (Canada).
