ACTIVITIES OF THE US NORTHERN REGION
LOCAL CONFERENCE IN CHICAGO
NOVEMBER 7, 1999
Objectives
- Recruiting members
- Promoting local interests in nurturing the 2nd generation Thai youths to get involved in their own community betterment
- Creating awareness of the gradual loss of Thai cultural heritage in the second generation, and the necessity for all local organizations to aim their activities to young generation as well
- Exploring ideas to attract the 2nd generation to be interested in contributing to the development of Thailand, the ultimate goal of ATPAC.
We hope to show that ATPAC is a revelant organization not only to Thailand but also to the common good of Thai communities in America. With this approach, we hope to energize the thai people to look up to ATPAC in a way that they can relate to. And that, member recruitment would become more effective.
