Keynote Speakers’ Biodata:Mr. Simon Cornwell,
Venture Partner at Amadeus Capital Partners, London, UK 
Amadeus Capital Partners is a technology venture capital firm founded in 1997, based in the UK and investing across Europe. Since its foundation, Amadeus has funded and supported more than 85 young companies. Amadeus successes have spanned semiconductors, communications infrastructure and services, medical technology and the internet. Over the past fifteen years, the companies in Amadeus’ portfolio have grown from being start-ups or early-stage companies to achieve a combined market capitalisation of many billions of dollars, and in today’s portfolio the story continues.

Simon joined Amadeus in 2001, became a partner in 2006, and joined the firm’s investment committee shortly thereafter. In 2011 Simon co-founded The Ink Factory, an innovative film, television and digital media production company based in London and Los Angeles, and transitioned to a venture partner role with Amadeus. He works on a number of Amadeus portfolio companies, and continues to source and evaluate new investment opportunities for Amadeus.

Simon’s successes with Amadeus include Transmode Holdings (Nasdaq OMX: TRMO), Liquavista (sold to Samsung in 2010) and Xelerated (sold to Marvell in 2011). Prior to joining Amadeus, Simon was founding CEO of Two Way TV, a digital TV entertainment and technology company, and before that he worked at the Boston Consulting Group, at the Granada Group, and in refugee relief in Thailand.

Simon holds an MA in Public and Private Sector Management from the Yale School of Management, and an MA in Modern Languages from Oxford University. He is fluent in Thai, and speaks good French and German.

Dr. Jon Peddie,Founder and President, Jon Peddie Research, Tiburon, California, USA

Dr. Jon Peddie is a pioneer in the graphics industry. He formed Jon Peddie Research (JPR) to provide customer intimate consulting and market forecasting services. Peddie lectures at numerous conferences on topics pertaining to graphics technology and the emerging trends in digital media technology. Recently named one of the most influential analysts, he is frequently quoted in trade and business publications, and contributes articles to numerous publications including as well as appearing on CNN and TechTV. Peddie is also the author of several books, his latest just published, The History of Visual Magic in Computers.

He has started five successful companies, and serves on the advisory boards of six high-tech companies. He was recently the president of Siggraph Pioneers, and advises financial investors and top management in computer industry.

Peddie’s books include Graphics User Interfaces and Graphics Standards (1992), High Resolution Graphics Display Systems (1994), Multimedia and Graphics Controllers (1994), a contributor to Advances in Modeling, Animation and Rendering (2002), a contributing editor of The Handbook of Visual Display Technology (2012), and a contributor to State of the Art in Computer Graphics, Visualization and Visual Analytics (2012).
